An HISTORIC Escape
The Mooresfield Estate was built in 1841 by local woolen mill owner Daniel Rodman and was once the center of the small village of Mooresfield that sprang up around the mill. Today Mooresfield is owned by Jeffrey and Christine Greene, who have a lifetime of experience owning and furnishing historic properties. Jeffrey is an author and maker of historic furniture, and Mooresfield is furnished with original antiques of the period and Jeffrey’s handcrafted furniture. Mooresfield is located just three minutes from the University of Rhode Island and about ten minutes from the Newport Bridge and South County beaches. We’re also only a short drive to both the Block Island and Martha’s Vineyard ferries.
